Rika Paula Buenaventura Villar, age 21, passed away today, June 29, 2008 in her sleep. She is survived by her family, to whom she was known as Paula, her numerous friends, to whom she was known as Rika, and her soulmate, who called her Princess. Rika was born on April 8, 1987 in Parañaque, Philippines as a big chunky baby who seemed to be well-nourished (or too much) in the womb. She traveled all the roads of her life in the Philippine archipelago until age 19, when she became a young proud Filipina lady who journeyed with her family to seek the American dream. Rika went to several institutions to be educated: St. Jude Preparatory School, De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, University of the Philippines, Sinclair Community College, and Wright State University. A carefree student who breathed procrastination while striving for perfection, she was the embodiment of the irony of hardwork and slack. She was an avid nocturnal female videogamer who valued 733+ness and pwnage. Her lifelong dream was to be a computer programmer but she was persuaded into pursuing a career healthcare. Rika was not a fan of sports but she was an artist who released her creativity through her paintbrushes, may they be bamboo or virtual. Writing was her medium, too. She appreciated music of all sorts, learned to play the recorder, violin, clarinet, and guitar. Rika was dreamer who knew how to keep in touch with reality. She knew she would not be the genius who would find a cure for cancer, but she vowed to leave an imprint on this lowly earth by spreading happiness to as many people as she could (like donating her body parts now that she's dead). Smile, that's what she did. And that's what she will be doing as she falls into her forever slumber.

No, I'm not dead. We just hade to write our own obituary. Yeah. Weird.
